UConn Huskies coach Chris Dailey stays mum about her husband and personal life!

Chris Dailey is the first associative head coach to be honored with Hall of Fame.

Chris Dailey is an American women’s basketball coach who has been the associate head coach for the Connecticut Huskies women’s basketball since 1988.

Recently, UConn players honored Chris Dailey and head coach Geno Auriemma for their incredible dedication to the UConn women’s basketball team for 40 years.

Similarly, UConn players celebrated Chris Dailey by wearing wigs that matched her signature hairstyle following her and Auriemma’s historic 1217th win.

For years, Chris Dailey has won people’s hearts with her exceptional coaching skills, but very little is known about her personal life, including the details about her husband and family.

Many people wonder if Chris Dailey has a husband and children or if she is single and dating. Some believe despite tying the knot years ago, she keeps her husband away from the public eye.

However, Chris Dailey hasn’t shared anything about her romantic involvement, and it is unclear if she has a husband and children.

Talking about her personal life, Chris Dailey was born on August 9, 1959, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States.

Her father passed away in 2003, and her mother passed away in 2015. While attending an honor event in 2016, Dailey cried when discussing the support she received from her parents, remembering her late parents.

Chris Dailey began her coaching career with Cornell in 1982!

After years of showcasing her amazing basketball skills playing for Rutgers from 1978 to 1982, where she led the team, Chris Dailey began her coaching career in 1982.

Moreover, she became the assistant coach of Cornell Big Red women’s basketball team and served her position for over a year.

Chris Dailey then served as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Rutgers, from 1983 to 1985 before joining Connecticut in 1985 as assistant coach. Likewise, it didn’t take Chris long to become Connecticut’s associate head coach.

She became associate head coach in 1988 and, alongside head coach Geno Auriemma, has helped lead UConn to eleven national titles, 25 conference regular-season titles, and 24 conference tournament championships.

Similarly, the duo transformed the program from one that only had one winning season to an annual powerhouse, including 47 All-Americans, 23 Final Fours, and six perfect seasons.

Chris has also stepped in and served as the Huskies’ head coach numerous times, leading them to a 17-0 record.

In 1989, she directed UConn to its first Big East Tournament title program while Auriemma served a suspension.

Chris Dailey continues to lead the UConn women’s basketball team as their associate head coach.
