Stephen Curry dealing with knee injury ahead of Warriors-Thunder game on Wednesday!

Many basketball writers considered Golden State Warriors contract extension with Stephen Curry risky because of his injury history.

Stephen Curry, an American professional basketball player and point guard for the Golden State Warriors of the NBA, has recently suffered an injury.

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is out of Wednesday’s November 27 game against the Oklahoma City Thunder because of a knee injury.

He suddenly suffered pain and soreness in both knees before the game; however, no medical reason for the pain was available.

Although Stephen Curry was in practice on Tuesday, his uncertain absence just hours before the game has made people wonder if his injury is severe, likewise, some believe Steph Curry is faking his injury and ducking the Thunder.

One Twitter post stated, “Steph Curry ducking the Thunder on national TV after gloating a fake injury win, he’s so soft. Take him out of your top 10 all-time. No real legends would pull something like this.

In contrast, many pray for his fast recovery and hope to see him soon in the game.

Moreover, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr shared an update on his injury before the game, confirming Steph has “been banged up” for over a week and that this rest will prepare him for the road trip.

He also stated that the MRI report was negative, but there is tendinitis. However, Curry is expected to return on Saturday against the Phoenix Suns.

Prior to the recent incident, Stephen Curry missed three games this season because of a left ankle sprain. Still, he returned for the Warriors’ November 4 game against the Washington Wizards, contributing 24 points in the 125-112 win.

Stephen Curry has dealt with several injuries in the past!

It is not the first injury Stephen Curry has suffered; he has a history of dealing with several injuries.

Moreover, his first known injury dates back to his junior year at Davidson College.

On February 14, 2009, he sprained his ankle in the second half of a win over Furman. This injury caused Stephen Curry to miss the February 18 game against The Citadel, the first and only game he missed in his college career.

He also underwent surgery in 2011 on his right ankle two years after joining Golden State Warriors.

Curry further missed 40 games with the Golden Warriors in the 2011-12 season due to ringle ankle and foot injuries.

Similarly, in 2012, Golden State included Curry in a trade offer to the Milwaukee Bucks for Andrew Bogut, which the Bucks rejected due to his history with bad ankles.

His injury setbacks began again during the 2016 playoffs when Stephen Curry suffered an injury in the first-round match against the Houston Rockets. A right MCL injury kept him out of the first three games of the second round.

Moreover, during the Warrior’s 2018-19 season and their journey to winning the fifth consecutive NBA finals, Curry suffered from a groin injury, sideling for 11 straight games.

However, despite suffering from several injuries, Stephen Curry continues to showcase his exceptional basketball skills, winning several titles.
