Polo star Bob Jornayvaz had a terrible accident during the U.S. Open Polo Championship

Polo star Bob Jornayvaz is currently recovery from his injury.

Bob Jornayvaz, a renowned polo player and owner of the Valiente team, recently had an accident that resulted in a severe injury.

Earlier this year, in April, Bob Jornayvaz was involved in an accident during a match against The Dutta Corp. in the U.S. Open Polo championship.

Furthermore, Bob Jornayvaz fell from a horse, and the Trauma Hawk immediately took the polo star to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue reached the field at 11:23 a.m. and dispatched units to the 3600 block of 120th Avenue South in Wellington, where the incident took place.

However, after the accident, authorities postponed the game, and Bob Jornayvaz has since maintained a low profile.

Bob Jornayvaz steps down as CEO of Intrepid after extended medical leave!

Intrepid Potash, Inc. announced recently, on October 2024, that Bob Jornayvaz has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer and a Board Director following his extended medical leave of absence.

He founded Intrepid Potash, a company focused on producing and marketing potash and salt, in 2007.

Moreover, Barth Whitham, Chair of the Board, wrote, “We are thankful to Bob for his immeasurable contributions to the company over the last two decades.

He continued by saying, “Bob Jornayvaz and his family remain in our thoughts, and we continue to wish him well in his recovery.

Bob Jornayvaz is popular for his involvement in various businesses, particularly in the oil and gas industry.

Likewise, Bob Jornayvaz founded Intrepid Oil and Gas LLC in 1996 and has served as the CEO of Intrepid Acquisition Corporation LLC since 2021.

He also served as Intrepid Mining LLC’s chairman and CEO from 2000 to 2008.

Talking about his polo career, Bob Jornayvaz began playing polo while attending the University of Texas in 1978.

He moved to Denver in 1981 and played polo there on and off until 1990.

Although, for a while, Bob took a break from his polo career to focus on his business, his success in the business helped him to return to follow his passion for Polo.

He said, “I always wanted to play high-goal polo, it was a bucket list type-of-thing.

Similarly, Bob Jornayvaz played 20-goal tournaments at the Santa Barbara Polo Club alongside his Valiente team, Juan Carlos Harriott, Krish Kampsen, and Nacho Astrada.

Bob Jornayvaz is regarded as the top-ranked amateur polo player in the world, and his fans hope to see him soon in the field.
