Learner Tien has a net worth of somewhere around $1 million, earned from winning tournaments!

On January 16, 2025, the 19-year-old surprised everyone by winning against Daniil Medvedev in the 2025 Australian Open. Not many expected the final score to be in favor of Learner, which was 6-3, 7-6(4), 6-7(8), 1-6, 7-6(10-7).

During the match, he looked calm and was doing well in the first two sets. However, in the third set, he faced some issues as he had a match point but couldn’t finish it. He continued to face challenges in the fourth set which helped Daniil to win it.

Then came the final set, where Learner broke Medvedev’s serve early but was broken back. At first, the set ended in a 10-point tiebreak, but later, Learner came out on top. The match lasted for 4 hours and 49 minutes, and by the time it ended, it was around 2:55 a.m.

After winning, the 19-year-old said, “I was definitely hoping it wasn’t going to a fifth-set breaker but either way I’m just really happy to get the win.”

This win makes Learner the youngest American man to reach the Australian Open’s third round since Pete Sampras in 1990.
