The American football player Kyren Lacy has two encouraging parents, Kenny and Kandace Lacy. Throughout his career, Kenny and Kandace have been vocal about their support for their son’s career.
Kyren Lacy, the wide receiver of the LSU Tigers, was born to Kenny and Kandace Lacy on December 27, 2000. Additionally, Kenny is a very supportive father and loves talking about his son’s achievements.
After his high school won the Class 5A state title in 2019, his father came forward and explained that Kyren had put in a lot of effort and had grown significantly in the last six months.

Regarding Kyren’s development, Kenny further shared, “He made the right decisions. The turning point was when his mom had a sit down with the family. She brought in the people that meant the most to him. I’ve seen a big difference in him after we had that meeting.”
Similar to his father, his mother is also very supportive of him. After Kyren’s game against Auburn in October 2023, Kandace publicly reacted to her son’s performance, sharing how involved she was in her son’s career.
Additionally, it might be worth mentioning that Kyren Lacy isn’t the only child of Kenny and Kandace Lacy; his parents have two other sons, Jayden and Liam Lacy.
Kyren Lacy caused a car accident on December 17, 2024, that resulted in the demise of 78-year-old Herman Hall, a former Marine!
On January 12, 2025, Kyren Lacy turned himself in to the police at 6:34 p.m. Furthermore, the authorities charged him with negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run, and reckless operation of a vehicle.
Nearly two hours later, the officers released him at 8:11 p.m. after paying the $151,000 bond for the three charges.

These charges came from a car accident that caused the passing of Herman Hall. In addition to Herman Hall, two others got involved in the accident, but thankfully, they survived.
According to the Louisiana State Police, Kyren attempted to overtake a vehicle on Louisiana Highway 20, which caused another driver to turn quickly to avoid a crash. Unfortunately, this caused a head-on crash, resulting in the demise of Herman.
After the collision, the 24-year-old fled the scene without offering assistance or notifying authorities. As a result, fans and media criticized him for not taking responsibility.
