Klay Alexander Thompson, an American professional basketball player who recently got traded to the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, dated several high-profile personalities in the past, but he never had kids with any of them.
Having said that, it doesn’t mean Klay doesn’t like children; he actually does and makes time for them whenever possible.
Since the beginning of his NBA career in 2011, the media spotted him visiting children in hospitals and schools multiple times, intending to support and motivate them.
In this regard, Klay Thompson spent his 2016 Christmas holidays with the children admitted to the pediatric ward of Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center. During an exclusive talk with the NBA, he said,
It’s great to be here at Kaiser Permanente’s pediatric ward to see some kids, hang out with them and try to put a smile on their faces. It’s the holidays and the Season of Giving, so I’m happy to be here and having a great time with them.

In the meantime, the younger patients at the hospital were equally happy seeing Klay greeting them and fulfilling their wishes.
A 16-year-old Leandra said, “Klay came into my room, knew my name, and asked what I wanted for Christmas, which made my day. It makes us forget our problems and brings a smile to our faces.”
In 2021, he joined over 500 kids at the Thrive City Community Basketball Clinic and played the game with them. He said he enjoyed the kids’ energy and their inquisitive nature during a media interaction.

In February 2023, there were surveys in the Warrior team about which team member could be the worst babysitter. Meanwhile, half of the warriors pointed to Klay Thompson, saying he would forget about a baby he is responsible for.
And the other half considered Jonathan Kuminga could make the worst babysitter. Well, whatever others said, Klay is not ready to agree with his colleague’s perspective.

Klay Thompson believes that he is absolutely fit to watch any kids. The NBA star tried to prove his point by saying he has been a ‘phenomenal uncle to his young nephew.,’ NBC Sports reports.
He said babysitting could be a fun experience for him, and he enjoyed their companionship and taking them out in nature. He said, “I’d try to get them on my boat. I’d probably get them in some life jackets and just teach them about the ocean and boating and fishing.”
Many are desperate to see the basketball player Klay Thompson babysit his own kids sooner.
