One person in the comment section wrote, “I’m sure he’ll be very hands-on for his job; congrats to him!” while another wrote, “Karl Malone leading Child Protective Services feels like the setup for a terrible joke.“
Many people also brought up Karl Malone’s past controversies, where he fathered a child with a 13-year-old girl.
Some also believe that Karl Malone is a pedophile, and it is not a good decision to make him a director of Child Protective Services.
One person jokingly wrote, “Oh boy, Karl is gonna be busy finding dates.“
Adding to the claim, another Facebook post shared the same news about Karl Malone.
However, Donald Trump and Karl Malone have not shared an official statement regarding the claims, and it is unsure if the NBA legend will be leading Child Protective Services.
Karl Malone has faced significant controversy surrounding his past actions
This is not the first time Karl Malone has gained people’s attention; he has been the talk of the town for years.
Furthermore, in the late 1990s, a report revealed that Malone was accused of fathering three children outside of marriage shortly after starting his professional basketball career in the 1980s.
Two children, twins Daryl and Cheryl Ford, were born when Malone and their mother, Bonita Ford, were both 17.
However, the most troubling case involved Gloria Bell, who was just 13 years old when she gave birth to Demetress Bell, Malone’s child when he was 20 years old, but he did not face any statutory r*pe charges for this relationship.
Legal battles followed, with paternity lawsuits filed against Malone, where the judge ruled him to be the father of Demetress Bell.
Similarly, DNA tests reportedly showed a 99.3% probability that Malone was the father. Malone also settled paternity disputes regarding the Ford twins, and all the settlements were private in all his cases.
Karl Malone initially had little to no relationship with these children, but over time, he acknowledged the Ford twins as part of his family. Cheryl Ford went on to play in the WNBA.
Moreover, Demetress Bell, a former NFL player, shared that he grew up without needing a father figure and didn’t have a close bond with Malone.
Karl Malone has also faced accusations of harassment. Vanessa Bryant, the widow of NBA legend Kobe Bryant, accused him of inappropriate behavior during a 2004 incident.
According to Vanessa, Malone made unwelcome comments and advances toward her while they were at a Los Angeles Lakers game.
So, it is doubtful that Trump will hand over the Child Protection Department to Karl Malone, who is decorated with many accusations.
