According to the former NFL player, Kurtis Rourke would likely get injured if he played in the match. And, if that happened, Indiana University would have a lesser chance of winning in the playoffs.

Similarly, in a show, he explained, “If I’m Indiana, I don’t know if I’m playing Rourke against Ohio State. We’ve seen what happened to Florida State last year with Jordan Travis. What could keep Indiana out of this (CFP)?”
Following this, many people disagreed with Joey, including ESPN analysts Greg McElroy and Booger McFarland. In response to the 53-year-old, Greg said, “You can’t do that! It’s a culture killer.”
Ultimately, Indiana University decided to play Kurtis Rourke, but unfortunately, they lost the match with a score of 38-15. However, Kurtis did not sustain any new injuries, which was exactly what Joey had hoped for.
