Jalen Washington, a 20-year-old American basketball player for the North Carolina Tar Heels men’s basketball team, recently credited his parents, Jimmy Washington Sr. and Jada Sterling, for supporting him in his career.
Although Jalen has yet to start his professional basketball journey, the hype he has garnered lately as a basketball player is incomparable, and the rising basketball star considers it a blessing.
But whatever Jalen Washington has been achieving lately wouldn’t have been possible if his parents had not been there for him.
He recently revealed that since his and his parents’ faith is the same, their purposes for life align, and that appears to be the reason why he gets consistent support from them.
In a recent press conference, he said,
He further credited his high school coaches, trainers, siblings, other family members, and closest friends for helping him throughout his journey, so he was pretty emotional at the time.
Jalen Washington’s brother, Jimmy, is also a basketball player!
The parents of Jalen Washington appear to be pretty enthusiastic about basketball because Jalen is not the only basketball player in the family.
His older brother Jimmy also played basketball at IU-Northwest. The Washinton siblings always looked up to one another as an inspiration and competitor.
In an exclusive talk with The Daily Car Heel, Jalen Washington said,
Back then, his brother Jimmy often took several medals and won several basketball games, but despite that, he appears to have left playing basketball and switched his career. On the other, Jalen is passionately pursuing basketball and doing pretty well.
