A big football fan and brain cancer patient, Jack Hoffman, has passed away after a long battle with the disease. He was diagnosed in 2011 and fought until 2025, inspiring millions along the way.
Jack Hoffman, a football player, passed away on January 15, 2025, after fighting brain cancer for over a decade. He was first diagnosed with the disease in April 2011 when he was just five years old.
Similarly, he had a seizure during breakfast, which caused his parents to take him to hospital for treatment. There, the doctors examined him and later told them that he had a cancerous glioma.

Following this, Jack had to go through surgery in May 2011, but unfortunately, the doctors could only remove a small part of the tumor.
Afterward, his family went to Boston Children’s Hospital, where the doctors removed over 90% of the tumor.
Additionally, he had to do a 60-week course of chemotherapy, and by October 2013, the tumor had stopped growing. Upon hearing the news, he and his family couldn’t have been happier, but sadly, their happiness didn’t last forever.
Jack Hoffman’s cancer started growing again in April 2014, went away in 2015, but returned in October 2024!
In April 2014, medics saw a suspicious spot on Jack’s brain but thought it was nothing. However, a few months later, they found out that his tumor had started growing again. Furthermore, the cancer had spread to his brain stem, which made surgeries difficult.
As a result, his family decided to go for a clinical trial in Boston involving genetic therapy. Thankfully, the therapy worked, and Jack’s tumor stopped growing.

The football player was a cancer-free patient for almost a decade until his tumor started growing back in March 2023. Similarly, doctors recommended to his family that Jack should go through surgery.
Listening to their advice, he had another tumor resection surgery in the summer of 2024. Afterwards, results showed that the cancer had become more aggressive.
Unfortunately for Jack, in October 2024, medical tests revealed that he had developed a new type of more aggressive cancer. Following this, his health continued to decline, and he passed away at his home at the age of 19.
