Elfrid Payton, a 30-year-old American professional basketball player for the New Orleans Pelicans, has never been married, but people appear to have mistaken Courtney Clair as his wife.
The confusion was created after the Instagram handle that goes by the name Elfrid Payton Elite family shared a post, writing,
Happy Birthday to my wonderful wife, Courtney Clair. God has truly blessed me with the most beautiful woman in the world!!! Thank for just being you!!!

But the post is from Courtney’s husband of over 15 years. So, Elfrid Payton and Courtney Clair are not husband and wife but brothers and sisters.
Besides Courtney, Elfrid has four more sisters: Ashley, Shamyra, Erin, and Brianna.
Elfrid Payton is not married but welcomed a daughter, PJ, with his girlfriend, Jessica Victoria!
As far as the media is informed, Elfrid Payton started dating his girlfriend, Jessica Victoria, in 2017. The information on how they met is still unavailable, but they were pretty head over heels with each other.
They remained in a relationship for over two years before deciding to have a baby. At the time, while Elfrid had already started his NBA career, his partner Jessica had passed the NCLEX exam after graduating with a nursing degree in 2019.
The same year, Jessica got pregnant from her relationship with Elfrid and later expressed her happiness on her Twitter handle, writing, “A year full of blessings..But my BIGGEST BLESSING thus far!💖👑.”

On January 4, 2020, the young couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl, PJ.
Four years have passed since then, and it appears Elfrid Payton and Jessica have already separated before becoming husband and wife. It’s been over two years since they last publicly appeared together.
Elfrid lastly dedicated a post to the mother of his child, Jessica, on Mother’s Day 2022, writing,

After that, Elfrid has neither mentioned anything about his girlfriend nor publicly appeared with her, suggesting the two might be no longer together. However, one thing for sure is that they are mutually parenting their only child.
