Growing up in Anhausen, West Germany, with his elder brother Erwin, Bernhard Langer began playing golf at a very young age.
Furthermore, Bernhard Langer was just eight years old when he convinced his elder brother Erwin who was an amazing golfer at that time to let him caddie at Augsburg Golf Club, a local 9-hole track.

He continued by saying, “But it was not just the sporting success of his brother Bernhard Langer, the Masters and Ryder Cup winner, that made the Langer brand special, Erwin also shaped golf in Germany as a tournament organizer.“
As the managing director of Langer Sport Marketing GmbH, Bernhard and his brother Erwin Langer purchased shares in the EPD Tour GmbH, a subsidiary of Professional Golf AG, aka PGA Group of Companies, in 2005.
Moreover, as the managing director of Langer Sport, Erwin’s main tasks within RC Germany are to continue discussions with federal and state politicians, to specify various requirements from the application documents, and to answer further questions.
