Louisville Cardinals’ outside hitter Anna DeBeer thinks it’s ‘time to rule’ at age 23!

Anna DeBeer celebrates her birthday on September 25 every year.

It’s already been over four years since Anna DeBeer started playing women’s volleyball for the University of Louisville, but it’s only recently that she started getting wide media exposure as a player.

Beginning to play volleyball while she was in the sixth grade, Anna has come a long way. Over the years, she has earned several titles, including that of the top female athlete in Kentucky, KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament MVP, and many more.

Lately, she has actually been evolving as a fierce volleyball player. In the game against Dune on November 15, 23-year-old Anna DeBeer became the fourth player in Louisville history to reach 1000 digs and 1000 kills.

Soon after, the professional sports team Indy Ignite Pro Volleyball selected Anna DeBeer in the round with the overall pick two in the 2024 PVF draft.

Following that, Anna appears to have gained pretty high confidence that she can display her ability to lead her team to success.

On December 7, she shared her picture on her Instagram, holding a volleyball with a swag, and wrote, “Time to rule 👑,” in the caption.

Well, as flexed by her, she succeeded in leading her Louisville Volleyball team to the regional semifinal and final match-up.

Coming from an athletic family, Anna DeBeer started playing sports at a young age!

During an exclusive talk with Floyd Street Media, Anna Deberr revealed that her parents are also pretty much into Athletics.

She said her mother, Sara Debber, played hockey and basketball in her school days. Likewise, Anna’s father, Jeff Debber, was into track and field.

Being born to such parents, Anna DeBeer and her 20-month older sister began their journey at quite a young age and played many sports.

As a child, Anna was into gymnastics, which ended after she got a serious injury. Then, her father suggests she join volleyball, considering her height. Anna took her father’s advice and is where she is today.

Besides being a player, Anna also has worked as a coach. Per her LinkedIn, she was a volleyball camp coach at the University of Louisville Volleyball Campus for three years, from 2020 to 2023.

Further, she also served as head volleyball coach at KIVA Sports Volleyball Clun from 2021 to 2022.
