Later, he left a message on social media for his fans about why he had made the decision. On Instagram, he wrote, “A decade ago, I reported on my first Indycar races. I fell in love with the place immediately. The history that whips through the air as the cars rocket past you.”

Similarly, he further explained, “Racing is my life. My deepest passion. Its drivers are my heroes. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have had a job for the past two decades that revolves around telling their stories.”

As a commentator for IndyCar, he will be joined by James Hinchcliffe, a former IndyCar driver, and racing analyst Townsend Bell, who will provide race analysis.

And, the season will begin with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on Sunday, March 2, 2025.
