For the second Championship game in a row, the duo of former LA United players Mario Thompson and Rob Da Silva faced a huge deficit at halftime. It wasn’t a 25 point deficit they faced last season when LA United came back to beat SICKWIDIT in the Gold Division Finals and many predicted Flava would bounce back from a dismal 1st half.

Team Nazo

No one expected rookie team Nazo or Boss Players to be in the Finals and many anticipated that a new face would have a breakout game.  That new face belonged to Nazo’s All Star, Willie Allen, and he finished with a game-high 35 points to lead Nazo to a 58-50 victory.

APRIL 2, 2009

After playing a double OT game against Wet Set in the Semis, B.O.B. looked visibly fatigue despite an hour game in between their games. Buckets jumped to a 18-10 lead in the 1st quarter and never looked back winning the Championship with a 46-42 win.

Lady's Ball Club

APRIL 2, 2009

Lady’s Ball Club jumped to a 33-23 halftime lead and Double Up tried to make a late second half rally early in the 4th quarter. Costly turnovers for Double Up and LBC’s execution on the offensive end put the game away for LBC as they win their first Championship with a 60-51 win.

It was a see-saw battle thru the first half until A*Team seized the opportunity of winning the LeBronze Division Championship. For the second time in his career, Matt Stein ended Jon Paras’ Championship hopes as A*Team defeat Wedashitudaflys aka Underdawgs, 48-38

Once again Hoopers did the unthinkable.  Their Cinderella story came true Saturday when they shocked the league by beating LA > SD, keeping the title in San Diego.  They previously beat Old School and number #1 ranked 3G’s Sports to get to the championship, then put away LA > SD for the knockout blow to win it all.
